Edinburgh-based duo Quiet Houses have dropped their latest cut, ‘What My Heart Is For’. The track does an incredible job of capturing the uncertain emotions surrounding the life and ambitions of a twenty-something. The track tells its story via a big, bold indie-pop sound defined by guitar swells and pounding drums, with an ethereal lead vocal courtesy of Hannah Elliott. This sound continues down the path they began to forge with their debut EP, Big Town, back in 2021, but with more sonic ambition and forward-thinking. ‘What My Heart Is For’ is the first release in a run of new music for the pair in 2024, so keep an eye out for what comes next. -Dan Peeke
